继获得IB授权，我校又正式获得爱德思A-Level项目认证。从2022年9月起，佛山市诺德安达学校将为11年级学生提供IBDP项目的同时，开设A-Level项目。我们将提供多门科目供学生选择，实现科目之间的完美组合。

• 教学成绩突出，在其任教科目，曾经82%的学生获得A-Level单科A的成绩，培养学生获得牛津剑桥帝国理工等世界名校录取 

 什么是A-level？

A-Level课程源自英国，学生需专攻6个学科领域中的4个，这4个领域很大程度上会成为学生将来大学的学习方向。A-Level对知识论、拓展论文和社会实践没有具体要求，但学生可以将其作为选修课以提高大学申请砝码。 

 A-Level有什么独特之处？ 

培生爱德思国际A-Level采用的是目前非常流行且灵活性强的模块化教学方法。因此，无论是学完科目的某个单元还是完成整个科目的学习，只要学生认为已经做好充分准备，就可以报名参加相应的考试。

爱德思一年有三次考试的机会，学生一旦参加了某个科目的单元考试并获得了成绩，就会被保存在一个“成绩银行”，直到他们完成该科目所有单元的考试之后，学生可以“兑现”已完成的单元考试分数，并获得总成绩。 

 A-Level对升学有什么帮助？ 

1.全英文教学 

大部分课程由资深外教直接教授，学生在进入国外大学后，可以无缝衔接国外大学教授的教学速度和方法。 

2.学习方法国际化 

学生进入国外大学后，能迅速适应国外大学的学习方式，顺利完成学业。

 What is A-Level? 

Designed for native students, the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level is from the United Kingdom and Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Levels (IALs) are designed for global learners. It allows students to specialise and focus on four of six subject areas that reflect the direction that they are likely to take at the university level. A-Level has no requirements for TOK, EE or CAS, however, similar programmes are available as additional options and can enhance university applications.  

 What is unique about A-Level? 

Pearson Edexcel International A-Level adopts a popular, flexible modular structure. The modular assessment structure offers students the flexibility to sit examinations when they feel fully prepared and ready. Once they have sat a unit exam and received a unit grade, that unit result is banked until they have completed all units. Students then ‘cash-in’ the completed unit exam results to receive an overall qualification grade. This flexible approach differs from the ‘all or nothing’ linear approach of other International AS/A levels, where they sit one big exam at the end of their studies. 

 How will A-Level help students adapt to college life？ 

1. All lessons are taught in English. Most of the lessons are directly taught by senior foreign teachers. After entering foreign universities, students can seamlessly connect the teaching speed and methods of foreign university professors.  

2. Taking the international teaching methods. After entering foreign universities, students can quickly adapt to the learning style of foreign universities and successfully complete their studies. 

 What are the similarities between A-level and IBDP？ 

1. Both are accepted worldwide  

2. Both are excellent curricula, one is not better than the other, they are just different  

3. Both require independent learning and study time  

4. They prepare students for Higher Education 

 What are the benefits of offering IB and A-Level at the same time？ 

1. Providing more choices for students with different subject advantages and learning characteristics 

2. The A-Level programme can learn from the CAS activity concept of IB, provide high-level research projects and social practice activities for students, and will be more competitive when applying for university
